Cougar Readers…Cougar Leaders
“Read with the Gamecocks” reading program is going on now! Your student(s) will receive a free admission ticket to the Gamecock Basketball Game held on February 15 for a Women’s Basketball game and February 21, 2015 for a men’s basketball game. All they have to do is keep a reading log beginning November 25 through December 8. Students need to record the number of pages read of an appropriate age book and their parent’s initials are required. The reading logs are due to Ms. Pingle or Mrs. Wormack by December 9th. One voucher for free admission to the Game on February 15th will be provided to each participant and one parent or guardian. Additional tickets may be purchased on game day. Dawn Staley, Head Coach, says “it is important to me that we encourage the development of basic reading skills, which are crucial to successful school performance. When children are able to read, the possibilities are endless.” We hope you encourage your student(s) to participate and we look forward to seeing you at the game on February 15 or February 21!
